The maths

A missed call is not a missed call. It is a job someone else did.

Nobody leaves a voicemail for a plumber any more. They hang up and call the next name on the map. Here is what that costs, using numbers you can argue with.

4calls a week you cannot get to
$450an average job
halfwould have booked
$3,900walking out the door every month

Answering costs $297 a month. One booked job pays for it three times over — and you will not have to take our word for it. We record your opening hours, so every month we can tell you exactly how many calls came in while you were shut, and how many of them turned into work.

How it works

Live tonight, in about five minutes

No new number, no app to learn, no contract. Three steps and the phone stops ringing out.

Forward the calls you miss

One forwarding rule on your existing line — we walk you through it on the phone. Your mobile rings first; we pick up whatever you don’t, plus everything outside your hours.

We answer, triage and book

We answer in your business’s name, find out what is wrong and how urgent it is, and book it into your diary. Anything doing damage right now rings your mobile straight through instead.

Two weeks free, then decide

Listen back to the calls it took and the jobs it booked. Keep it, and we add the reviews and the visibility work on top. Don’t, and one reply turns it off — nothing to cancel.

What we do

Three tiers, so you can start where it hurts

Reviews get you more calls. Answering makes sure none of them are missed. The third keeps you findable as people start asking an assistant instead of searching.

Reviews that keep the map pack working

Local work is won in the three results on the map, and those run on recent reviews. Two hours after each job we text the customer and ask. Everyone gets asked — filtering for the happy ones breaks Google’s rules and can cost you the profile. We draft the replies; you approve them from your phone.

We answer the phone, day and night

Most popular

Every call you do not pick up comes to us instead — after hours, weekends, and the ones that ring out while you are already on a job. We answer in your business’s name, in English or Spanish, work out what is wrong and how urgent it is, and book it straight into Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan or Jobber if you use one. A real emergency rings your mobile straight through. Anyone who does not book gets followed up. Flat monthly price, no per-minute meter — a freeze week costs the same as a quiet one.

Found on Google, and quoted by the assistants

People increasingly ask an assistant instead of searching, and it answers from sources it can read. We keep your Google profile complete and current — hours, service areas, categories, photos — and structure everything about you so both Google and the AI answers can pick you up. One monthly report: calls answered, jobs booked, where you rank.

Every plan includes up to 250 answered calls a month — far more than a one- or two-van outfit takes — and there is no per-minute meter, so the week a freeze hits costs the same as a quiet one. Past 250 we call you and talk about it; we do not send a surprise bill.

The alternatives

You have three options. Here they are honestly.

Doing nothing is the fourth, and it is the expensive one. Figures are the published list prices of the main options as of August 2026.

The honest summary: a DIY tool is cheaper if you enjoy writing prompts and testing them, and a human service is better if your calls are genuinely unusual. We are for the person who wants it working by Friday without becoming the project.

FAQ

The questions we actually get asked

Is it a real person answering?

No, and we do not pretend otherwise. It is an AI receptionist trained on your business — your services, your area, your hours. It introduces itself as the answering service for your company; it never claims to be you. Callers get an answer in about two seconds at 3am, which is the part they actually care about. You get the recording and the transcript of every call, so you can hear exactly what was said.

What happens if it is a genuine emergency?

It asks early whether something is happening right now — water spreading, no heat, a gas smell — and if it is, it stops trying to schedule and rings your mobile straight through with the address and the problem. If a caller mentions gas, it tells them to get out and call the gas utility or 911 first. Emergencies are the calls worth the most and the ones you least want handled by a voicemail.

Does it take calls I would have answered myself?

Only if you want it to. The normal setup is forward-on-no-answer: your phone rings first, and we pick up the ones you do not, plus everything outside your hours. Some people switch it to answer everything so they are never interrupted on a job. Your call, changeable any time.

Does it speak Spanish?

Yes, English and Spanish, on every plan, at no extra cost. It picks up which one the caller is speaking and stays in it for the whole call — including the emergency questions. In Houston and Dallas this is not a nice-to-have; a good share of the calls a trade business misses at 9pm are in Spanish.

Will a busy week cost me more?

No. It is a flat monthly price with no per-minute meter, up to 250 answered calls a month. That matters most in exactly the week you care about — a freeze, a heatwave, a storm — when a per-minute service bills you hardest for being in demand. Human answering services typically charge overage per minute once you pass a small bundle; we do not.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. You keep your number and your carrier. Setup is a forwarding rule on your existing line — about five minutes, and we walk you through it. If you ever leave, you delete the forwarding rule and everything is exactly as it was.

Do I have to pay before I see anything?

No. The first two weeks of answering are free — you listen to the calls it took and decide. If you do not want it, reply once and it stops the same day: no invoice, no follow-up.

Do you build websites?

No. We used to and we stopped, because it was the piece that took longest to pay for itself. Everything we sell now works whether you have a site or not: the reviews, the answering, and being findable on Google and in the AI answers. If your site has a problem we will tell you honestly, and point you at someone — we just will not bill you for it.

Who owns everything?

You do. The number, the recordings, the reviews and the customer details are yours. If you leave, we hand over everything we hold and remove our access. No hostage-taking.

How do the review requests work?

You send us finished jobs — a spreadsheet, or we connect to Jobber or Housecall Pro. We text the customer a link straight to your Google review form. No survey, no gate, and no filtering out unhappy customers, because that breaks Google’s rules and can get your profile penalised.

How do I stop hearing from you?

Reply STOP to any text, use the removal link on any page we built, or email hello@tradites.com. It is permanent and takes effect immediately.

Every trade

Built for whatever is on the side of your van

The four services are the same for everyone. What changes is the job that cannot wait, and what the person answering needs to treat as an emergency.

Not a trade? We do the same four things for restaurants and cafes. The phone rings in the middle of service instead of mid-job, and what walks away is a table rather than a callout.
