Terms of service
Last updated 19 August 2026These are the terms you and Tradites work under. They are written to be read rather than to be survived, and the short version is: it is month to month, you can stop whenever you like, and everything we build or capture for you is yours.
1. What we agree to do
Depending on the plan you choose, we will ask your customers for reviews after finished jobs and draft your replies, answer the calls you do not pick up, keep your Google Business Profile current, and post your work to your social profiles. We no longer build websites. What is included in each plan is set out on the pricing page.
2. Money
- Plans run month to month. There is no minimum term and no contract to see out.
- There is no setup fee and no cancellation fee.
- Call answering includes a 2-week free trial. We do not charge during it. If you stop before it ends, you pay nothing at all.
- Answering plans include up to 250 answered calls a month at a flat price. There is no per-minute charge, so a busy week costs the same as a quiet one.
- If you go past the allowance we will call you and talk about it. We will not invoice you for overage you did not agree to first.
- Reviews starts at $97/month, answering at $297/month, and search and AI visibility at $399/month. Prices can change, but never mid-month and never without 30 days’ notice by email.
3. Stopping
Tell us by email, text or phone and we stop at the end of the current month. You do not have to give notice, complete a form, or explain yourself. If we built you a site you had not paid for yet, one reply takes it down the same day.
4. Who owns what
This is the part people are usually caught out by elsewhere, so it is explicit:
- Your domain is yours. It is registered to you, and if you leave we point it wherever you say.
- Any site we built you is yours. We do not sell websites any more, but if we built you one it stays yours and we hand over the files.
- Your phone number stays yours. We work by forwarding your existing line. Delete the forwarding rule and everything is as it was.
- Your customers are yours. Recordings, transcripts, contact details, booked jobs — all yours, exported on request.
- Your reviews are yours. They sit on your Google profile, which we never own.
What stays ours is the software that runs it — the answering platform, the site templates and the tooling. You are licensed to use it while you are a customer.
5. Your side of it
- Give us accurate information about your business — licence details, service area, hours and what you do and do not take on. The assistant repeats what you tell us.
- You are responsible for the work itself. We answer the phone and book the job; we do not do the plumbing and we are not a party to what you agree with your customer.
- Hold the licences and insurance your trade requires, and tell us if that changes, because we may publish it on your behalf.
- Do not ask us to publish anything false, anyone else’s copy or photos, or claims you cannot back up.
6. Calls are recorded
Calls we answer for you are recorded and transcribed so you can hear what was said and so a job can be booked accurately. By using the answering service you are asking us to record calls made to your business on your behalf, and you confirm you are entitled to have that done. Recording law varies by state; if you operate somewhere requiring every party’s consent, tell us and we will configure an announcement at the start of every call.
7. Text messages
Where we text your customers for reviews, you confirm those are people you have done business with and that you are entitled to contact them. We handle STOP replies and permanent suppression automatically, on every message, and that suppression cannot be overridden — including by you.
We ask every customer for a review, never a filtered subset. Screening out unhappy customers breaks Google’s policies and can cost you your profile, so we will not do it even if asked.
8. What we do not promise
We do not guarantee rankings, call volumes, review counts or revenue. Anyone who does is guessing. We will tell you what we are doing and show you the numbers, and you can stop any month if it is not working.
The answering service is automated. It is good and it is getting better, but it will occasionally mishear something or take a detail down wrong — which is why you get the recording and transcript of every call. Check anything that matters.
9. Interruptions
We aim to answer every call, every hour. We depend on telephone networks and third-party platforms and cannot promise they never fail. If we have an outage that affects your service materially, tell us and we will credit that month.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss — lost profit, lost opportunity, lost data — and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change them we update this page and email existing customers before the change takes effect. If you do not accept a change, stop the service; that is the remedy and it costs you nothing.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and the courts of Harris County, Texas have jurisdiction.
